Secondly, I saw Dirty Pretty Things yesterday (It was big news in the Evening Standard today: "Courtney Love snubs showbiz party to hang out at a sweaty student bar with troubled Pete Doherty and see his friend's band"!), they managed to be really rather impressive despite turning up an hour and a half late. This was due to Carl being ill apparently, and judging from the picture to the NME story on it he was clearly suffering from something:
